Shower conversion Q&A
What is the difference between a walk-in shower and a curbless shower?
A walk-in shower has a small threshold (typically under two inches) you step over. A curbless shower has no threshold at all, which makes it the only option for wheelchair access. Curbless requires more floor prep, which is part of the assessment we do during the in-home visit.
How long does a tub-to-shower conversion take?
Most Central Florida conversions finish in two to four days. Removal day one, plumbing and base day two, tile or panel walls day three, fixtures and final on day four if needed.
Will it hurt resale value to lose a tub?
In Greater Orlando, having one tub somewhere in the house usually preserves resale value. Most retirement-zone homes have a primary bath and a guest bath. If you keep the tub in one and convert the other, you cover both audiences.
